We can now shockload repair Rotax engines from the experimental market.

Experimental aero engines

Norvic Aero Engines builds experimental engine kits and sells to builders of home built aircraft. In addition, we also build and sell Norvic Experimental engines to home-build aircraft owners.

The experimental engines we build and supply are suitable for fixed or variable pitch propellers in either carburettor or injection models.

Inspection, build and test

These engines are fitted with the same accessories as certificated engines, and are also inspected, built and tested to the same standard as certificated engines. However, as these engines are not supplied with certificated airworthiness documents, please check with your local authority what documents are required before placing an order for the engine.

Hi Richard, I thought that you might like some pictures of my Vans RV-6A which flew successfully for the first time on Saturday 17th April from Wickenby airfield in Lincolnshire. The first flight was conducted by Nigel Redish who has conducted no less than 26 first flights of RV series aircraft. On landing, Nigel reported that the aircraft flew very well and that he managed to achieve 174 knots in straight and level flight: a good indicator of the airframe and engine performance. All temperatures and pressures were found to be normal and on close inspection of the engine following the flight no leaks or other problems were found. Starting has been easy, even when the engine is hot: something that can be a problem with fuel injected engines.
